Dear Docents and DITs,
I am sending you the last newsletter of this year.
I would like to thank you for your work, time and energy you put into the Docent Programme and your patience towards the museum and towards me!
I can’t name everyone, but I specially appreciate the help of:
the guides
the DITs
the mentors
the administrators
the social event organisers
the lunch hosts
the calendar editor
the lecturers
so EVERYBODY !!!
It might be strange but I like the statistics, so please read my summary about this year.
Until 30th of November (the museum was open 287 days) we (YOU!) had 241 guided tours! On those tours participated 2180 visitors. These tours were held by 30 excellent docents. This is not a competition, I just mention the first three most active members: Diana (20), Pálma (19) and Kati Julow (16). Congratulation! 😊
This autumn and the next spring won’t be a typical scholar year, but I think it was and it will be interesting. We had a few very nice programmes outside of the National Gallery, and guided tours in every temporary exhibition of the museum. There were Docent Lunches and in the spring season art- and Bible lectures as well.
In January we will continue an English guided tour in the Within Frames exhibition with Fatima – you will have the details about the exact date from Giovanna later. There will be a Lunch – hosted by Saskia – on Tuesday, 23rd of January. Sheena will write you about it soon.
